      The Prym brand was born from the desire for a sexy, fashionable alternative to vodka and bourbon. While milling about a gallery show in New York the 3 founders were quickly inspired to take on the challenge. They realized that the rum market was inundated with Caribbean, casual, vacation, and heritage based messaging, while the spotlight on spirits was on niche, generally small batch brands employing a “hipster” boutique approach. The opportunity for a standout brand rooted in fashionable status was apparent.
